Councillor Morris Bright, leader of the council, said: "The council’s community leadership role is focused on improving the quality of life for everyone in the borough, working with our public, private, voluntary and community sector partners.
“Our corporate plan details the council’s vision, values and corporate priorities and has been developed with input from our residents and community groups.
“We will strive for excellence in meeting the commitments we have detailed by working with, and for, our communities."
The plan declares the council's vision as, “working with you, for you, improving our communities and our places which will be delivered by focusing on five priority areas”.
These include safer communities, quality environments, healthy, thriving communities, economic well being and decent homes.
