A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of murdering Gary Bennett, whose body was found in Aldenham Country Park last month.
The 37-year-old, from Watford, is currently in police custody and being questioned.
Mr Bennett, who lived with his mother in Little Oxhey Lane, South Oxhey, was found dead with severe head injuries in parkland near a disused kiosk in the park, in Elstree, at 8.50am on Wednesday, February 24.
Detective Superintendent Mick Hanlon, of the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire major crime unit, said: “The arrested man is currently helping us with our enquiries.”
He added: “I would still urge anyone who has any information in relation to Gary’s last movements or his death, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to please get in contact.”
Hertfordshire police are offering a reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Mr Bennett's murderer.
