Internet safety awareness day to take place next week
4:00pm Sunday 5th February 2012
The county council will be encouraging young people to keep safe on the internet as part of a national campaign next week.
Safer Internet Day will see schools across the county teach young people about how to be safe in the digital world.
The campaign will take place on Tuesday February 7 and will encourage young people to think about how they use the internet.
Hertfordshire police have also given a number of tips for using the internet such as young people should not take individuals at face value on the internet as they may not be who they say they are.
Police also advise young people not to give out any personal details, photos and other information which may identify who they are and they should never arrange to meet up with someone who they have met on the internet.
